About This Activity
Eagle Rock Adventures runs full-day canyoning tours through one of Australia’s most southerly subtropical rainforests on the Illawarra Escarpment, about an hour south of Sydney. The canyon features rock slides, optional big jumps, and waterfall abseils with Pacific Ocean views. The day ends at a secluded rock pool beneath a waterfall — ideal for swimming and bouldering. Suitable for beginners; all safety gear and instruction provided. Groups are small, guides are experienced, and the setting is genuinely remote rainforest.
Seasonal note: Best Oct-Mar when waterfalls are flowing and swimming conditions are warm. May-Aug can be cold in the gorge.
