Set inside a stunning Beaux-Arts railway station on the Left Bank, the Musée d'Orsay houses the world's greatest Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collection — including Van Gogh's self-portraits, Monet's water lilies, Degas's ballerinas, and Renoir's café scenes — all within a single spectacular vaulted hall. Admission is €16 (€12 on Thursday evenings after 6 pm). Closed Mondays; book timed tickets online to skip queues. Plan 2-3 hours minimum.
