About This Activity

Housed inside the Palais de la Porte Dorée — a 1931 Art Deco landmark built for the International Colonial Exhibition — the Musée National de l'Histoire de l'Immigration covers France's immigration story from 1685 to the present across 1,800 m². Nearly 600 works and archival objects document Huguenot refugees, Polish miners, Italian labourers, Jewish émigrés, and North African communities who shaped modern France. For descendants of French emigrants or immigrants researching ancestry, the permanent exhibition provides essential socio-historical grounding. Adult admission €16 (includes the Aquarium Tropical); free for under-26s and on first Sunday of each month.

Seasonal note: Open Tue–Sun; free first Sunday each month; closed Mondays
