Slieve League Cliffs, Donegal — Europe's Highest Accessible Sea Cliffs
Donegal/Clifden, Ireland
About This Activity
Slieve League cliffs in southwest Donegal rise 601 meters above the sea, making them among the highest accessible sea cliffs in Europe. The Bunglas viewpoint is reachable by car and walkable by anyone; hardier hikers can continue onto the Pilgrim's Path ridge and the infamous One Man's Pass, a narrow ridge with sheer drops on both sides. The surrounding landscape of bogs, mountain streams, and Atlantic headlands is wild and largely untouched. Free to enter year-round.
Seasonal note: Best May–Sep; ridge walk hazardous in wet or windy conditions
