About This Activity

ANU – Museum of the Jewish People (formerly Beit Hatfutsot, the Diaspora Museum) underwent a complete transformation and reopened in 2021 on the Tel Aviv University campus. The permanent collection uses immersive, interactive exhibits to tell the story of Jewish communities worldwide across four millennia — from ancient Babylon and Sephardic Spain to Ethiopian Jewry, the shtetls of Eastern Europe, and modern American Jewish life. The genealogy and community database centre allows visitors to trace family roots and explore records of thousands of Jewish communities across the globe. Temporary exhibitions cover contemporary Jewish culture, art, and identity. Tickets are ₪60 (~$17). The museum is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays; plan a Sun–Fri visit.

Seasonal note: Year-round. Closed Saturdays and Jewish holidays. Located on Tel Aviv University campus.
