About This Activity
Tulum is the only major Mayan ruin perched on a cliff above the Caribbean Sea, dating to the 13th-15th centuries. The site includes the Castillo temple, Temple of Frescoes, and a beach cove for swimming after exploring. Total entrance for foreigners is 625 MXN (combined INAH, CONANP, and Parque del Jaguar fees). Arrive at opening (8 AM) to avoid crowds; the 2-hour drive from Cancun can be combined with cenote stops.
