St Kilda Beach and Esplanade
Melbourne, Australia
About This Activity
St Kilda is a 30-minute tram ride from the CBD on the free City Circle or Route 96. Spend the morning swimming or walking the beach promenade before lunch at one of the cafes lining Acland Street. In summer, the St Kilda Esplanade Market runs on Sundays. After dark, small fairy penguins can often be spotted nesting under the breakwater rocks at the pier — a free, unadvertised wildlife experience. Luna Park admission is optional for families.
Seasonal note: Best Nov-Mar (beach season)
