Botero Museum
Bogotá, Colombia
About This Activity
The Museo Botero is one of South America's finest art museums — and it's completely free. Fernando Botero donated 123 of his own works plus 85 pieces from his personal collection, including pieces by Picasso, Dalí, Monet, and Renoir. The museum occupies a stunning colonial mansion in La Candelaria. Botero's signature rotund style is impossible to miss: his oversized, rounded figures appear in both paintings and striking bronze sculptures in the courtyard. Closed Tuesdays.
