The Museo del Oro is one of the most important museums in Latin America, housing over 55,000 gold and metal pieces from Colombia's indigenous cultures. Its spectacular golden raft legend — the origin of the El Dorado myth — is the highlight. The permanent collection spans three floors with atmospheric lighting and excellent bilingual labels. Entry is free on Sundays. Located in the heart of Bogotá's financial district.
