The Dry Tortugas are a remote island cluster 70 miles west of Key West, home to massive Civil War-era Fort Jefferson and some of the best snorkeling in North America. The Yankee Freedom III ferry ($250/adult) departs at 8am and includes breakfast, a box lunch, and snorkel gear for a full day at this bucket-list destination. Book weeks in advance — the ferry has very limited capacity.
Seasonal note: Best Mar-May and Oct-Nov for calm seas. Ferry may cancel in rough weather. Peak bird migration Apr-May.
