The Promenade des Anglais runs 7 km along the Baie des Anges — free, flat, and always busy. From there, cross into Vieux Nice (Old Nice) to wander Baroque painted streets and the Cours Saleya market (Tue-Sun mornings for flowers and food). Climb to the Colline du Château for the best panoramic view of the famous crescent bay — the lift is free. Best in May-June and September when the coast is warm but not August-crowded.
