Psyrri Street Art Walk
Athens, Greece
About This Activity
Psyrri, northwest of Monastiraki, is the birthplace of Athens street art and remains its most politically committed quarter. Murals here have community backing and survive for years as respected public art. Focus your walk on Agias Theklas, Aristofanous, and Karaiskaki streets for large-format portraits and social commentary pieces. After dark, Psyrri shifts into one of Athens's liveliest craft-beer bar districts with venues open until 4am. Self-guided; free app-based tours are also available.
Seasonal note: Year-round; murals are outdoor so best in dry weather. Night bar scene peaks spring–autumn.
