The Icelandic rúntur (round tour) is the national weekend ritual: bars stay open until 3-4am and locals circulate between venues along Laugavegur and its side streets. Warm up at Kaffibarinn (co-owned by Blur's Damon Albarn) or Dillon Whiskey Bar, then move to Prikið (hip-hop dive bar), Elly Bar (live music and karaoke), or Lebowski Bar. Most venues are within a 5-minute walk. Budget $40+ for 3-4 drinks — Icelandic beer runs around $10-12 a pint.
