Reykjavík Self-Guided Food Walk — Hot Dogs to Sourdough
Reykjavik, Iceland
About This Activity
Start at Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur (Tryggvagata, open since 1937 — a hot dog costs ~880 ISK/€6 in 2026) ordering a pylsur med ollu (with everything). Walk east along Laugavegur stopping at Sandholt bakery for kleinur (Icelandic doughnuts) and freshly baked sourdough, then finish at Brauð & Co for their famous cinnamon buns, usually gone by noon. The 2 km walk passes Reykjavík's most photographed streets and takes about 3 hours with stops.
Seasonal note: Year-round; go early morning for Brauð & Co cinnamon buns before they sell out
