Íshestar is one of Iceland's leading riding stables, set in lava-field countryside just outside Hafnarfjörður, a 10-minute drive from Reykjavík. The 1.5-hour Lava Tour takes riders through dramatic volcanic terrain on the famous five-gaited Icelandic horse. Groups are organized by experience level, making it welcoming for complete beginners.
