Silfra fissure in Þingvellir National Park is where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates drift 2cm apart each year, filled with glacial meltwater filtered through lava for decades. The result is some of the clearest water on Earth — visibility over 100 meters — at a temperature of 2–4°C year-round. Drysuits are provided. Tours run daily and include transfer from Reykjavík.
