Campuhan Ridge Walk
Ubud, Indonesia
About This Activity
The Campuhan Ridge Walk is Ubud's most rewarding free activity — a 9km out-and-back path along a narrow ridge between two river valleys, passing through waving grass fields, artists' villas, and small working farms. The trail begins at the Pura Gunung Lebah temple just west of Ubud centre, following a stone path through the village of Bangkiang Sidem before descending into rice fields. Walk at sunrise or early morning to avoid heat and catch mist rising from the valleys. The return walk passes several excellent cafes serving cold drinks and breakfast with valley views. No entrance fee — just good footwear and sunscreen.
