Ubud Art Market & Royal Palace
Ubud, Indonesia
About This Activity
Ubud's morning art market (Pasar Seni) is Bali's finest source of traditional crafts — hand-carved wooden masks, batik sarongs, silver jewellery, rattan bags, and ikat textiles sold directly by artisan families. The market is most vibrant between 6am and 9am when local vendors sell fresh produce and offerings on the lower level. Directly opposite stands the Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Agung), the still-inhabited residence of the Ubud royal family with beautifully maintained temple gates and pavilions open to visitors. Evening Legong or Barong dance performances are held in the palace courtyard several nights per week.
