About This Activity

Giant's Causeway is Northern Ireland's only UNESCO World Heritage Site — 40,000 interlocking hexagonal basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity, reaching to the sea at Bushmills on the Antrim coast. The causeway columns are free to access on foot, but the National Trust Visitor Experience (parking, guided tours, audio guides, exhibition, and café) costs £15 adults. Pre-book online to save £1.50. Note: Northern Ireland uses GBP, not EUR. Combine with Bushmills Distillery and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge on a full day from Belfast (approx. 90 minutes by car).

Seasonal note: Best May–Sep; exposed coastline — dress for wind and rain year-round
