About This Activity
Kilmainham Gaol held Irish political prisoners from 1796 until its closure in 1924, and the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising were executed in its stone-breakers' yard. Access is by guided tour only (€8 adult, €4 student, free under 12); tickets must be pre-booked on kilmainhamgaolmuseum.ie and release 28 days in advance — book the moment they open. Allow 2 hours including the excellent museum.
