St. Patrick's Cathedral has stood on this site since 1191, making it Ireland's largest church and the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland. The interior contains the tomb and mask of Jonathan Swift (dean 1713–1745), medieval floor tiles, and outstanding stained glass. Admission is €11 adults; check the schedule online as the cathedral closes during services. Combine with nearby Dublin Castle state rooms (free exterior, paid tours of state apartments).
