About This Activity

Waterford was founded by Vikings in 914 AD, and its compact Vikings Triangle district packs in the best of its thousand-year history. The Waterford Treasures are three world-class museums: the Medieval Museum (with 15th-century Cloth of Gold vestments), Viking-era Reginald's Tower, and the Georgian Bishop's Palace. The Freedom of Waterford Pass (€18 online, valid one year) covers all sites plus an EPIC guided walking tour. Note: Irish Museum of Time is temporarily closed for expansion until spring 2026; the Irish Wake Museum welcomes pass holders instead.

Seasonal note: Open year-round; Mon-Fri 9:15am-5pm, extended summer hours
