Leave Lake Como behind for a day trip north to Valtellina, a narrow alpine valley bordering Switzerland that is home to Italy's largest system of terraced vineyards carved from steep granite slopes. Your guide takes the group to two local producers for tastings of Valtellina Superiore, Sforzato di Valtellina (a dried-grape passito wine), and regional dishes: pizzoccheri buckwheat pasta, bitto cheese, and bresaola air-dried beef. Finish at a Michelin-starred restaurant for lunch. Group tour costs approximately €350-400 per person including transport, guide, winery visits, and lunch.
