Praiano Half-Day Walk — Quiet Amalfi Village and Marina di Praia
Positano, Italy
About This Activity
Praiano is 4 km east of Positano along the Amalfi Coast road — close enough to walk (90 minutes) or reach by the frequent SITA bus (€1.80). This quieter village has two churches worth stepping inside — San Gennaro with its tiled dome and San Luca Evangelista for the works by Giovanni Bernardo Lama — plus the iconic Torre a Mare watchtower projecting from the cliffside. Descend the 200 steps from the road to Marina di Praia, a tiny fishing cove with a pebbly beach backed by fishermen's boathouses converted into beach bars. Swim, lunch on freshly caught sea bass, then bus back.
Seasonal note: Beach bars at Marina di Praia open May-October; town is quietest off-peak
