Aqaba Beach Day
Aqaba, Jordan
About This Activity
Aqaba's beaches offer a rare combination: warm, clear Red Sea water with the dramatic backdrop of Wadi Rum-style desert mountains on all sides. From Jordan's South Beach reserve area, on a clear day you can see the Israeli city of Eilat to the west, Saudi Arabia to the south, and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula to the west — four countries from one beach. The public beach areas are free to access; private resort beaches charge a day-use fee of 15-30 JD that typically includes a sunbed and towel. The water is warm year-round (minimum 20°C in January), making Aqaba a popular winter sun destination for Jordanians.
