Macroplaza & Faro del Comercio
Monterrey, Mexico
About This Activity
The Macroplaza (Gran Plaza) is a series of interconnected squares spanning several city blocks, making it one of the largest public plazas in the world. At its southern end, the 70-meter Faro del Comercio tower shoots green laser beams across the night sky. The plaza is flanked by the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace, and MARCO contemporary art museum. Free to walk; allow 1-2 hours to explore the full length. Best visited in the early morning or evening to avoid midday heat.
Seasonal note: Year-round; cooler months Nov–Apr preferred. Faro del Comercio laser runs nightly.
