Aguas Calientes Hot Springs
Aguas Calientes, Peru
About This Activity
The municipal hot springs sit a 10-minute walk uphill from the town center and are open daily from 5 AM to 8 PM. The mineral-rich thermal pools (around 38–40°C) are a genuinely restorative end to a Machu Picchu day — especially rewarding early morning before tour groups arrive. Bring a towel, flip-flops, and swimwear; lockers are available on site. Entry for foreign visitors runs about 20 soles (~$5–6 USD).
Seasonal note: Year-round, daily 5 AM–8 PM; least crowded early morning before the day-tripper buses arrive.
