Costa Nova & Aveiro Day Trip from Porto
Porto, Portugal
About This Activity
Aveiro, 60 km south of Porto, enchants with its gondola-like moliceiro boats gliding through azulejo-decorated canals — a 45-minute shared boat tour costs around €12 per person. Nearby Costa Nova is famed for its palheiros: brightly striped wooden fishermen’s houses backed by Atlantic dunes. The town also produces ovos moles, the local egg-yolk sweet. Easily reached by train (~1 hr, from €4) or on a guided half-day tour.
Seasonal note: Best spring through summer; beaches busiest Jul–Aug
