Douro Valley Wine Day Trip from Porto
Porto, Portugal
About This Activity
The Douro Valley, 90 minutes east of Porto, is a UNESCO World Heritage wine region of dramatic terraced vineyards stacked up granite hillsides. Guided day tours (approximately €90-110 per person) typically include two quinta wine estate visits with port and Douro wine tastings, lunch in Pinhão, and a 50-minute rabelo river cruise back through the gorge. Harvest season (mid-September to mid-October) adds the excitement of seeing the treading and fermentation in action.
Seasonal note: Best May–Jun and Sep–Oct harvest; summer is hot but beautiful
