Visit Waimea Canyon, often called the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific,' stretching 14 miles long and over 3,600 feet deep. Drive up to multiple scenic viewpoints with panoramic views of red and green-ridged rock formations. Continue to the Kalalau Lookout for a view of the Na Pali Coast from above. Hiking trails of varying difficulty crisscross the canyon. Best visited early morning before clouds build. The drive takes about 45 minutes from Lihue.
