About This Activity
Lahaina, Maui's historic whaling port, was devastated by the August 2023 wildfire. The iconic 150-year-old Banyan Tree survived and is recovering. As of early 2026, the town is actively rebuilding with homes under construction and businesses slowly reopening. Parts of Front Street remain closed. Visit respectfully — Lahaina is a living community in recovery. Check current access conditions before visiting.
