Getsemaní is Cartagena's most creatively charged neighborhood — a working-class barrio that gentrification has turned into an open-air street art gallery. Massive murals by Colombian and international artists cover entire building facades, depicting Afro-Caribbean culture, local heroes, and political commentary. The neighborhood is also home to the best independent restaurants and bars in Cartagena. Plaza de la Trinidad fills with locals playing music every evening. Best explored on foot in the late afternoon.
