Colombia's coffee region (Eje Cafetero) is UNESCO-listed, and Salento is at its heart. Dozens of small family fincas around Salento offer guided tours showing every stage of coffee production — from picking ripe cherries on the hillside to washing, drying, roasting, and finally brewing the perfect cup. Tours typically last 1.5-2 hours and include tasting. Finca El Ocaso is one of the most popular and polished; El Mirador and others are smaller and more personal. Advance booking recommended. Expect to pay $10-15 per person.
