About This Activity

Salento is the most visited town in Colombia's Coffee Region and arguably the country's most photogenic small town. The main street (Calle Real) is lined with brightly painted wooden balconied houses, artisan shops selling coffee, handwoven bags, and wax palm crafts. The mirador above town offers a sweeping view over the coffee-covered hills. Evenings are lively with tejo (a traditional Colombian throwing game) bars and excellent trout restaurants — the local rivers supply some of Colombia's best freshwater fish. Very walkable and entirely safe for independent exploration.
