About This Activity

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre is one of the most spectacular natural venues on Earth — a 9,500-seat amphitheatre flanked by 300-foot red sandstone monoliths. When concerts are not scheduled, the park is free to explore: walk the Trading Post Trail loop (1.4 miles), run the amphitheatre steps like locals do for exercise, and visit the Colorado Music Hall of Fame inside the Visitor Center. Interactive displays tell the geological and musical history of the venue, from The Beatles to U2. The park is open year-round from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. On concert days (March through November), the amphitheatre area closes early — typically by 2:30 PM — for event setup.
