About This Activity

Crystal Bay on Nusa Penida's west coast is one of Indonesia's premier dive sites and an excellent snorkel destination. The sheltered bay has clear, calm water with a healthy coral reef starting from the beach, home to reef sharks, colourful reef fish, and occasional manta rays. The bay is the main dive site for spotting the mola-mola (ocean sunfish), which seasonally visit the cleaning stations here between July and October — the largest bony fish in the world. Snorkellers can enter directly from the sandy beach with a rented mask and fins (from $5). For non-divers, the beach itself is beautiful and uncrowded by Bali mainland standards.
