About This Activity

Muckross House (1843) sits on the shore of Muckross Lake within Killarney National Park and was famously prepared for a royal visit by Queen Victoria in 1861, reportedly bankrupting its owners. The house is preserved with original Victorian furnishings; the adjoining traditional farms demonstrate 1900s rural Kerry life with farm animals, crafts, and a working mill. Gardens are free to wander; house and farms admission is approximately €12.50 adult combined ticket. Open daily.

Seasonal note: Gardens open year-round free; house and farms best Apr–Oct
