Takoyaki & Okonomiyaki Cooking Class
Osaka, Japan
About This Activity
This 2.5-hour small-group cooking class (max 8 participants) teaches the proper technique for both of Osaka's signature street foods: takoyaki (batter-fried octopus balls turned in a specialized cast-iron pan) and okonomiyaki (layered savory pancake with cabbage, pork belly, and bonito flakes). Your instructor covers batter ratios, flip timing, and the difference between Osaka and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. Optional miso soup and green tea tasting round out the class. Sake and beer pairing available for an extra charge.
Seasonal note: Available year-round
