Shinjuku Ramen Alley Food Tour
Tokyo, Japan
About This Activity
Explore Omoide Yokocho (Ramen Alley) in the heart of Shinjuku, a narrow alley lined with traditional ramen shops dating back to the 1950s. This 2-3 hour guided experience includes tastings at 2-3 authentic ramen restaurants and stories about the evolution of Tokyo's ramen culture. Your local guide will explain the differences between tonkotsu, shoyu, and miso ramen styles while you sample different regional varieties. Expect small, intimate counter seating and authentic local atmosphere.
Seasonal note: Year-round; ramen feels most satisfying in winter; Shinjuku's alley venues are cozy any evening
