About This Activity
El Árbol del Tule is a Montezuma cypress with a trunk circumference of 42m (the widest in the world) and an estimated age of 2,000+ years. Located in the churchyard of Santa María del Tule, 14km east of Oaxaca city, it takes just 30-45 minutes to visit. Entry is about 20 MXN. Local guides point out animal shapes in the trunk's gnarled bark. Easy to combine with Mitla or Hierve el Agua on the same day trip.
