About This Activity
Monte Albán sits on a leveled mountaintop 400m above the Oaxaca Valley -- one of Mesoamerica's earliest cities, founded around 500 BC. Walk the Grand Plaza past pyramids, the ball court, and the famous Danzantes carvings. Entry is 210 MXN as of 2026 (INAH Category I site). The on-site museum is included. Allow 3-4 hours on site; the drive from Oaxaca city takes just 20 minutes.
