Fløibanen Funicular & Mt. Fløyen
Bergen, Norway
About This Activity
The Fløibanen funicular has been whisking visitors up to the 320-metre summit of Mount Fløyen since 1918, departing from the city centre every 15 minutes. At the top, a network of forest trails fans out through pine-scented woodland with lookout points offering panoramic views over Bergen, its seven surrounding mountains, and the glittering Byfjord. The summit has a restaurant, a children's play area, and a troll forest path that delights all ages. On a clear day it is one of the finest urban viewpoints in all of Scandinavia.
