Flåm Railway
Flåm, Norway
About This Activity
The Flåmsbana is consistently ranked among the world's most beautiful train journeys. In just 20 kilometres the railway climbs 865 metres through 20 tunnels, past thundering waterfalls (including the famous Kjøsfossen where the train pauses for photographs), and through some of Norway's most dramatic mountain scenery. The line connects the fjordside village of Flåm with the mountain station of Myrdal on the Bergen–Oslo railway, making it the perfect centrepiece of the Norway in a Nutshell classic route.
