Balboa Park is one of the largest urban cultural parks in the US, spanning 1,200 acres with 17 museums, performing arts venues, beautiful gardens, and the San Diego Zoo. Walk the iconic El Prado promenade lined with Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, visit the Botanical Building, or hike the 65 miles of trails. The park is free to enter, though individual museums charge admission ($15-30 each) or you can get an Explorer Pass.
