About This Activity

Sacsayhuamán is a massive Inca ceremonial complex at 3,701m above Cusco, its three zigzagging terraced walls built from limestone blocks weighing up to 300 tons, fitted with extraordinary precision and no mortar. The site offers sweeping panoramic views over the city's terracotta rooftops and hosts the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) each June. Access requires the Partial Circuit 1 tourist ticket (~70 soles/$18 USD), which also covers Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay — worthwhile if you plan to visit all four.

Seasonal note: Dry season May–Sep is best; June features the Inti Raymi festival at the site. Allow extra acclimatization time at 3,700m.
