About This Activity

San Blas is Cusco's most picturesque neighborhood, climbing the hillside from the Plaza de Armas through narrow Inca and colonial lanes lined with artisan workshops, galleries, and ceramic studios. The tiny San Blas Church contains an extraordinary Baroque pulpit carved from a single tree trunk — one of the finest wood carvings in the Americas. Hilltop cafes offer panoramic views over terracotta rooftops, and the Saturday market is excellent for textiles, silver jewelry, and hand-painted ceramics.

Seasonal note: Year-round; Saturday market brings the most artisan vendors. Note the steep climb from Plaza de Armas — allow extra time at altitude.
