Storms River Suspension Bridge, Tsitsikamma
Knysna, South Africa
About This Activity
Tsitsikamma National Park is one of South Africa's most spectacular parks, protecting a 80-kilometre stretch of rugged coastline where ancient indigenous forest meets the Indian Ocean. The signature experience is the short 1.6-kilometre walk from the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp through lush coastal forest to the suspension bridge that spans the Storms River gorge, with crashing waves visible far below. The park is also the start of the legendary Otter Trail, South Africa's most famous multi-day hike (5 days, 42km). The coastal trails above the boulder-strewn shore offer extraordinary birdwatching and whale-watching.
