Chaweng Beach
Koh Samui, Thailand
About This Activity
Chaweng is Koh Samui's longest and most famous beach — a 7km crescent of white sand on the northeast coast with clear water, excellent swimming, and a full lineup of beach clubs, waterfront restaurants, and watersports operators. The northern end is quieter and more suitable for families; the southern end near Chaweng Noi gets more wave action. Beach loungers rent for 150–200 THB per day. Note that Chaweng faces east and misses the sunset — for evening light, head to the west-coast beaches near Fisherman's Village or Nathon.
Seasonal note: Best Dec–Apr for calm, clear water; Oct–Nov is Koh Samui's wet season with rough seas
