Kaleiçi (literally 'inside the castle') is Antalya's atmospheric old quarter, enclosed by Roman-era walls and perched above a picturesque ancient harbor. Stroll through narrow cobblestone lanes lined with restored Ottoman mansions, now converted into boutique hotels, cafés, and craft shops. Key landmarks include Hadrian's Gate (a triple-arched Roman triumphal arch from 130 AD), the fluted Yivli Minaret (the city's symbol since 1230), and the 2nd-century Hıdırlık Tower overlooking the marina and turquoise coast.
