About This Activity
Visit Akaka Falls State Park on Big Island's windward Hamakua Coast. The 0.4-mile paved loop trail passes through lush native Hawaiian forest to reach the 442-foot Akaka Falls and 100-foot Kahuna Falls. Entry is $5 per person for non-residents plus $10 parking; credit card only. The park is open 8:30am-5pm daily. No swimming below the falls. Allow 30-60 minutes for the trail.
